Career Counseling Practicum & Internship
What We Do
The Wanderlust Foundation for Workforce Development’s Counseling Practicum & Internship is a structured, fully remote, educational program with training workshops and supervision for master-level social work and/or counseling students who want training in vocational psychology, career coaching, and organizational psychology.
Training Program Includes:
100% Remote, in-person meetings can also be provided as needed
Create your own schedule
Weekly individual supervision
Training workshops
Gradual caseload, average is 7-12 clients per trainee
Elective Specialization tracks (e.g., Career Assessment, Professional Branding, or Job Search)
Individuals from diverse racial, cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds
Certificate of Completion
Student Opportunities:
Provide individual career counseling and coaching to clients
Conduct and interpret career assessments
Support clients with career exploration, decision-making, and goal-setting
Assist with resume development and job-search preparation
Maintain an ongoing caseload and develop longer-term relationships with clients
Participate in assessment and testing activities
Contribute to program development and organizational initiatives
Participate in staff development workshops and educational seminars
Engage in appropriate data gathering, documentation, and recordkeeping related to their clients
