Workforce Development Program Expansion

for Fellows of Color

The problem.

The ACLU provides specialized fellowship programs designed to recruit, develop, and support diverse professionals working in racial justice, civil rights, and systemic equity, however, they did not have dedicated internal career development professionals to support fellows. The ACLU sought an culturally competent external partner who could provide fellows with personalized career coaching, professional branding, job-search strategy, and interview preparation to help them transition into their next roles.

The strategy.

Our diverse career coaching team provided each fellow with 3 months of one-on-one career coaching, along with individualized resume and LinkedIn support. Throughout the engagement, we worked with fellows to strengthen their professional brand, refine their resumes and LinkedIn profiles, develop effective job-search strategies, and prepare for interviews.

The results.

Our program equipped fellows with the confidence, skills, and professional tools needed to successfully navigate the job market and advance their careers. As a result of the coaching and career support they received, fellows were able to strengthen their professional positioning, successfully pursue new opportunities, and secure positions aligned with their skills, experience, and career goals.
